1. Who we are
This policy describes how Qtrades (“we”, “us”) handles information when you use our website and application (the “Service”). Contact: see our Contact page.
2. Information we collect
- Account data - username, email, password hash, role, approval status, and two-factor authentication secrets.
- Profile - optional avatar and display preferences.
- Trading journal & paper activity - trades, setups, tags, notes, screenshots, paper orders/fills, evaluations, and related analytics.
- Learning progress - lesson completion, quiz/exam attempts, certificates, and video watch progress.
- Technical logs - standard server and security logs (e.g. login attempts) needed to operate and protect the Service.
3. How we use information
- Provide authentication, 2FA, and account administration
- Deliver academy, journal, paper trading, and evaluation features
- Send transactional email (verification, password reset, approval, product notices)
- Improve reliability, security, and product quality
- Comply with legal obligations when required
We do not sell your personal information.
4. Sharing
We use infrastructure providers (hosting, database, email delivery, optional object storage) as processors to run the Service. Mentors or admins on your organization may access journal and progress data as part of the product design. We may disclose information if required by law or to protect the Service and its users.
5. Retention
We retain account and journal data while your account is active and as needed for legitimate operations, security, and legal requirements. You may request deletion of your account by contacting us; some records may be retained where we have a lawful basis to do so.
6. Security
We use industry-standard measures including hashed passwords, session cookies, and mandatory two-factor authentication. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure; use a unique password and keep your authenticator device safe.
7. Cookies
We use essential cookies for sessions, preferences (e.g. theme), and security. We do not use third-party advertising cookies on the core product.
8. Children
The Service is not directed to children under 16. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
9. Your choices
You can update profile details in-app, enable/manage 2FA as required, opt into or out of the journal leaderboard where offered, and contact us to request access or deletion subject to applicable law.
10. Changes
We may update this policy from time to time. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy. Material changes may be highlighted in-app or by email when appropriate.
